Camouflage

Painting Tips:
Keep it
clean, take your time and enjoy yourself. Be safe and wear your
respirator !
If you have any specific information that would be of
help to others, Email us and we will review it for possible posting.
THANKS
tip
AJP recommends
the reduction of Gillespie
Coatings with a
SYNTHETIC ENAMEL REDUCER. This is accomplished at a ratio of 2:1,
paint to reducer. Most brands are fine, such as NAPA or PPG, etc;
just as
long as its a SYNTHETIC
ENAMEL REDUCER.
tip
Watch which brand
of spray paint you use for the vehicle markings. Some brands use
a propellant that may not be compatable with the base coat. This
incompatability will cause the base coat to lift or crinkle, ruining
hours of hard work.
tip
AJP uses a product called
POR-15 from Restomotive in New Jersey. This is an excellent rust
sealant that is best used over badly pitted but clean rust patches.
If applied properly, priming can be performed once the POR-15 tacks
up. AJP uses Gillespie Coatings "Red Oxide III" over patches
of POR-15, then the specific O.D. base color.
